Association's Constitution

The Constitution of the Legal Future Association regulates how the Association works. You can access the consolidated Constitution here, however at the very moment this is only available in German. Within the organisation

The Board consists of three members only. They are managing operations like infrastructure, finances so that the organisation is capable of successfully conducting the work within the purpose and goals of the Association.

Everyone of legal age can become a member if the they support the purpose and goals of the Association.

The actual work is conducted in teams and committees like the Blog project or the Social Media team.

Your Rights and Obligations as a Member

In order to be a member it is necessary that you agree with the goals and purpose of the Association and that you want support these.

You must pay the Annual Membership Fee and are responsible for notifying us when there are changes of your place of residency or email address. In such a case you have to contact us by email without delay.

As a member you have the right to take part in the General Assembly voting. You also the have the possibility to suggest agenda points or propose a project that is then discussed at the next General Assembly.

It is of course your choice to actively take part in the Association. There is no problem in just supporting organisation by being a member.

Financial Bylaws

The Financial Bylaws regulate the amount of the Annual Membership Fee, due date and how it should be paid.

Annual Membership Fee

The Annual Membership is Fee is EUR 12. In case you apply for Membership between the 1st of October and 31st of December, the Membership Fee is reduced by half so that you only have to pay EUR 6 for that year.

When do I have to pay?

We need to receive your Annual Membership Fee by the 25th of February. This date can change due to bank holidays. In case special provisions apply, you will be contacted by the Board.

How do I need to pay?

Generally, you have to pay in euro to the Association's bank account. If you live in the SEPA, you have to transfer/wire the money.

If you do live outside of SEPA, you should still transfer/wire the money in euro. Please consult your bank about any additional costs that apply for such a transaction. The Board can provide information on what kind of payment methods are supported by us. If needed, we can also find solutions with you together. It is important that you contact us about this, as we cannot accept all payment methods, for example it is not possible to pay with cash.

Application Rules are rules concerning the admission as a member to the Association. Parts of these rules are also dealing with data protection around membership data.

Who can become a member? Are there any requirements?

If you like the purpose and goals of the Association and you want to support or actively take part in the organisation, you can become a member. You have to be of legal age to become a member.

How can I become a member?

You have the apply with the form on our website.

If you are residing outside of the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, you have to additionally fill in a special form and post it to us.

It is important that your application is complete. Otherwise, we are not able to process your application and might need to apply again.

The Board will look at your application and decide on it within one month. After that you will be contacted via email.

If you are a member, we do have person data concerning you. We process this data for example to able to communicate with you. Information on all this can be found in the Privacy Policy available in English and German.
